A friend of mine, who has no computer, has enough money to purchace a slightly used KN6500, or for about the same price he can wait for the new KN2600.

I know what I would do, but we would like to hear the opinions from members of this forum.

Having played a kn6500, I would say go for that one, but I haven't seen the 2600 yet. Since it is a mid-range keyboard, I suppose it depends on what you want it to do. I have a friend that settled for a kn1400 because it did exactly what she wanted it to do, and since she has no interest in recording, she saved a few dollars to boot.

If I remember correctly the KN2600 has the SD facility BIG advantage!
