I finally got a chance to look at both the new keyboards, but with a KN7000 sitting next to them, I wasn't that excited. I didn't get a chance to play each onboard style, but some seemed different from my KN6K. However, an attempt to save out an onboard rhythm and load it into a KN6500 wouldn't work, but we'll see. They are nice looking, but still mid-range units, and I suppose the price will reflect just how much they will do. A few more days playing with them should satisfy my curiosity.

I heard 1/2 the price of a 7000, and that files will be compatible with the 7000, although no one seems to know for sure .

Larry, I didn't even think to ask about prices, but I would imagine they would fall between the kn1400 and the kn7000.

Anyone know what amount of wave rom the kn2600 will have?
I guess it must be at least 32MB to be competetive in it's price range.

Well, perhaps someone may write here about quality of 2600/sounds, as compared with KN700 ones.
Listening both with an external amplifier, is there a great difference? Have KN2600 sounds similar quality than 6500 or 6000? Speaking about piano voice... is it as good as other modern KN? similar to KN5000?
