is there anyone who might be able to help me please.I purchased a Technics Kn2400 keyboard and approached my small music shop (I live in the outback area of Australia)where I bought it and enquired about pre-programmed Discs containing rythyms and sound registrations.Unfortunately the shop had none specifically for my keyboard but said there was discs available for other makes and models that could be obtained. My Question....does anybody out there know what other makes and models might be compatible with a Technics KN 2400.I would appreciate your help.Kind regards Jim

Hiya Jim
Technics used to call it 'backwards compatibility' - meaning everything made in the way of a keyboard before the KN2400 is compatible with it. It doesn't quite work like that in total covering all historic models but pretty much the theory works - so if you obtain rhythm and sound registrations for the following, they should work in your model:
KN7000; KN6000/6500; KN5000; KN3000.
I guess your next question might be - where do I get those from....well it depends what sort of music you like/want to play because there is a wealth of 'style files' on various web sites, if you know where to look...

There are also over 100 KN7000 styles available for download from my website : http://mysite.freeserve.com/willumspages/index.html

Hi there - another way to get settings/styles is to download some songs from the KESO site.
http://www.keso.nl

Whilst these are not commercial styles as such they may have been modified background/instrument wise and therefore the name of the song suggests a type of style used.

If you load into your into your KN minus the sequencer track then you have a ready to go style. e.g. There are 3 players' versions of "I left my Heart in San Francisco" "Moonlight Serenade", 3 versions, "Misty" 4 different ones. etc.,

If you access the alphabetical list of songs you will be able to see which players pages to find them on. Joan
