This eBay item is small and neat and cheap enough but the power...

I have been searching for a stronger one and so far, no luck.

frankly, personally I would stick with a transformer if at all possible within portability limits, it's relatively cheap and I would not be taking risks with my "collectors item" Technics at this stage
