The only 2 Technics keyboards that have memory cards (SD Cards) are the KN7000 and the KN2600.
The SY-FD20 drive is a method of transferring data from your PC to a floppy disk and then on to your KN7000. Of course if you have a KN2600 there is no floppy disk drive so the data needs to be transferred from your PC to an SD Card for which you need a Panasonic USB Reader/Writer to attach to your PC.

I got a floppy disc drive from PC World about 2 years ago, I don't know if they still sell them but it is worth a try

Hi Rog, AsI mentioned earlier I have a kn800 that takes memory card SY-P5 it also has a slot for a floppy drive. I have some style disks and some memory cards. I want to transfer the data from the style disks to the memory cards so I can use them on the KN800

So I guess you'd use Windows Explorer to carry out the transfer providing you can connect the Memory card to your PC. The floppy disk drive attaches to a USB port.
Then its just drag and drop.
Hopefully the file system in the memory card is straightforward. Watch out for file numbering on the files on your floppy disks...
Rog
Can I suggest W D Greenhill & Co for the floppy disk drive as (a) they are nearby in Essex and (b) they handle all the parts stuff for Technics.

Hi Rog, Would you know if it is possible to connect the KN800 to my pc via midi ports and then transfer the style disk data from the floppy through the pc to the keyboard and on to the memory cards that plug into the KN800

Sounds a great idea doesn't it Adrian but I very much doubt if midi ports are designed to take that kind of data and then send it to a memory card. I think you are going to have to do the work on your PC and then use the loaded memory card in your KN800.
