Is there a chance to get copy of SD explorer or the SD tool software whichever is easier to use? Any comment or help will be appreciated. Jan.

Hello Zachr

Try the following email address. Fred will be able to tell you whether the SD Explorer Tool is still available.

f.mellink@chello.nl

Good luck!

SD Explorer is undoubtedly the easiest to use but there are alternatives which are free.

Not sure about the SD Manager at Mister Music but it sounds similar to the SD Card Tool programs which I helped Thomas Konig develop, one version for Technics files and one for midis (SD Explorer can't handle midis). These were free at the time, but never fully finalised, nevertheless worked well enough last time I used them (a few years ago now!).

Alternatively the Keysoft SD Techmanager 7000 program which was pretty expensive at the time is now effectively free since the company was wound up, and Roland Schmidt provided a free keygenerator when he closed down so you can register and use the full complement of facilities. This has the advantage over SD Explorer in that it can handle midis on the card and edit favourites, user playlists and song medleys on the pc. http://www.keysoftservice.ch/keygenerator.htm

Using any of these programs without first backing up your card if important work is involved is naturally particularly foolish

Alec, Bastian

Thanks for the info on this program and the links.

As I am using a Windows 7 x64 bit system I had to download a couple of free files from Microsoft to get the Keygenerator and program 'help files' to work, but that was a very simple process and the program now runs fine.

I must admit I nearly choked on my coffee when I found out the initial price of this software. I appreciate its probably very useful but I can't help thinking this may have been a marketing 'error' at the time.

Thanks again

Glen

I run short on knowledge when it comes to working with loading programs and the different information they are asking for.

I would appreciate if someone would write the steps (step-by-step) needed to load the Keysoft SD Techmanager 7000 program into my computer.
