I wanted to know who owns a Motif and what do you think about, and how would you rate
it towards all the workstations?

hi...i had one for a few weeks..its got good sounds..very real like...very clear-clean...and the sequencer is good...i just prefer my triton sounds for what i do..so i returned the motif...i feel its kinda a generic board...in a year will be old news...unlike korg stuff..its in the running still after 4 yrs..same with trinity...i do feel the motif sequencer/sampler is well done but i like touch screens..its the future i feel even in pc area..

I've had a Motif for about a week and think the sounds are the best I've heard on any keyboard in that price range. All of the features are great and I am very pleased with Yamaha's support. I also own a PSR9000 and feel that the sounds are equivalent or better in most cases. Sounds are always subjective but I have yet to hear anyone say anything negative about the sounds themselves.
