I bought my machine about a month ago, so it`s brand new. I have f-secure virus programs in my system, I try to disable them amd see what happens. I also contacted the music store where I bought the card and they said that I have to get some update patches for Xp. I tried to download them but the file was way too big to be downloaded by 56modem. By the way is it possible to have two OS in your machine at the same time. For example windows 2000 and xp and then I could use 2000 to run my music stuff.

I´m still in the dust here.

After switching the card to another PCI-slot everything works just fine.. curious..

Now that is strange . I hope that PCI slot is not damaged somehow , like a broken solder connection or a bent pin or something .

Could have been a PnP conflict (Plug 'n' Pray that is) Had a similar prob with a sound card cause it would only accept a certain IRQ (which happened to be the same as the AGP dooh) swapped it to another PCI and it was sweet as .Damn you Bill Gates !
