A Whirlshidser is better than a Magnus except when plugged into 220? Also, when plugged into 220, does they play an octave higher or twice as loud?

I'm back in California after an extended stay (4 months!) in the Society Islands (Bora Bora mostly).
While there I eventually learned that:
A man once exposed to the digital age cannot live in a hut forever.
and
Their are beautiful hearts wherever we all go. It's just that sometimes they are not as easily recognized.

Great to be back,
Pete

Great see you back again Pete. How long do you think it will be before the digital age drives you back to the islands

Good to be back Nigel. I noticed I had a few things I could answer so...I will go back when my place needs a paint job I guess (~a year?)
Hey, so when did you get the bar. I used to drink tequila but I switched to seltzer. They call it club soda out here though. BTW did you know that quinine (in tonic water) gets rid of the cramps almost immediately.
A good thing to remember for folks of our age!

Your statement immediately reminds me to a song from the early fifties.
Nothing digital in those days...

The song:
Clancy Hayes with Lu Watters and his Jazz band.. , song title . My little bimbo down on the bamboo isle...

If you like to hear the song I can send it...

Fred

Yeah we added The Bar a while back so there was a forum devoted to OT postings. Not that I have ever been bothered by OT postings myself. My entire life has been OT ( I grew up in the 50s and 60s ) so I am pretty easy going but some members wanted a dedicated OT forum.

Quinine is great stuff. It cures malaria as well. It comes mixed with lemon soda in Australia and is called "Bitter Lemon" and you can buy it in cans and bottles. It makes a great drink mixer. Just can't get it here in the USA, dunno why.

Never had Bitter Lemon Nige
What ya think?, +2tsp. conc. lemon juice per 12oz. tonic water? Maybe that's close, but I won't know until I've had the real thing.

Just pulled the tune up...nice. Yeah it does have thoughts a bit of that sunken volcano of an island. Hey thanks!
Have a massive library of program material. Currently mostly music audio. A joint venture task I share networked with a half dozen sound companys in LA and OC. We have great labor on it too with track by track indexing all release / publishing info genre, keysig, meter, bpm, style/groove, and best of all, lyrics! If all goes as planned, hopefully within the next 3 or so years we might sell it to the information giants, Lexis-Nexis. I'd love to give all you folks the info for the ftp link-up, but cannot. When we all contracted into the project, one of the strict points of our TOU for it was to not give it out since its destiny is predetermined to be sold to an information provider. (we hope!)
