Rikki,

You have a superb analytical mind. You could have been a great detective. Yes, I too, will probably regret selling my KN7000 and thought all boards could be used as a sound system as the KN7000. Fortunately for us we are able to find new tech devices to quench our thirst for lost "features" that we once had. Now, I'm seeking speakers to make the PA800 sound like the KN7000.

Very glad you made yourself known and happy to hear that you too are a Korg PA800. Maybe this board was the closest replacement for the KN7000 and that we made a good choice. Why, oh, why did Technics stop being in the KB business. Major mistake.

Stay tuned,

Ron

Ron,
You will NOT regret the move UP to the PA800. (BTW - you and I have a history too, remember the mini disks?)
Then sounds are amazing, the styles have realism and punch and the vocal input, well....the Technics was the all time WORST at that !

Hi 'ol friend

Yes, I remember Uncle Dave with warm memories. I bought your PSR9000 and we celebrated having lunch together near Baltimore. You also bought or we traded other synths and exchanged many midi files, etc. Glad to see you are still around and kickin'. I'm retired now living alone near Jacksonville, Fl and having a ball of a time. It is really great not working everyday. I have time on my hands and music in my heart.

Stay tuned Dave, and it great to hear from you.

Hi Ron,
must say, I don't really miss the the KN7000 anymore, (because I luv the korg )
What I missed the most initially , was the wonderful Synthzone Technics community we had for so many years. Admittedly it still exists, but quite a number of us went our seperate ways. Roland, Yamaha, korg etc.

I bought my first Technics ( KN800) in 1989??
Would have been great to have had a KN8000 , or maybe a KN9000 by now . haahaa

If we can be of any help with the PA800, let us know.
There's a lot of functions I haven't really delved into, I'm sort uv' stuck in the Style Creation section of my keyboard. Find all the functions there fascinating..

best wishes
Rikki

Have you been following the BIAB/Style thread at Korg Forums? I did notice your name crop up a while back.

Rikki,
The PA800 is slowing taking my interest away from the KN7000 and I am sure that I will let go of the KN7000. I am slowing selling all of its extras so the end is near. I wasn't too active with most Synthzone communities and I know I would have enjoyed the Technics community. In fact, the Synth Zone is priceless.

Since I am a user of BIAB and ProAudio I may have used some internet forum/s pertaining to such, but can't recall.

Thanks for offering me your help in any future need.

Hi Ron,
there's a huge PG Music forum for BIAB, Powertracks & the new Real Band software.
I pop up there sometimes too.

Hi Rikki,

I'll check it out. What is Real Band Software? I never heard of it.

Bill,

Well, since I check pgmusic from time to time, I suppose I'm losing my observation/s. I do like almost all of Pgmusic products and will look into this item.

Thank you for your time and information.

Hi Ron,
Real Bands based on the Powertracks sequencer, but has the ability to load the BIAB styles & audio files directly.
You also have a bit more control over the BIAB tracks it generates.

Still got the odd bug here & there.

My BIAB Megapak was up to date with all the styles audio files etc, only cost me $59 to add Real Band. Different packages available depending on what you've got aready.
