Anybody want to bet a drink that the Eagles finish with a better record then the Cowboys, or the Saints, or the Giants?

No excuses, but....Eagles starting linebacker was thrown out BEFORE the game. Donavan McNabb was hurt on a helmet spear. David Ackers missed not 1, but 2 field goals...very rare for him.

Even with all that, they only lost by 4, in Atlanta where the Falcons were sky high for this revenge game.

So I'm not worried, the Eagles are still the best team in the NFC.

I like winning drink bets.

and they have always been close to my heart,
however, I always liked the Vikings, so I guess you would say that I'm torn between two loves....but I think the Eagles will go all the way this time......

Shboom: Now you wouldn't want to be winding me up by saying Calgary with BC in the Grey Cup would ya? For sure, I think Calgary are a better team than the standings suggest, but hey I'm an Eskimo man after all. That loss in Regina today sucked though.

I actually enjoy Canadian football ... I like allowing more than one offensive player in motion at one time ... and the wider field is good also ...

Actualy, Canadian football seems to be much
ruffer, the rules are a lot diferent I believe so it makes for a better harder played game, just my own personal opinion...
they do a great job.....

I think Larry was looking for a top NFL player that left the NFL voluntarily to play in the CFL... are there any?
I would think that the better players would choose the NFL because of the salary structure ...
I think it might be similar to baseball in Japan ...players over there who are god-like come to USA Major League Baseball, and are good, but not necessarily the dominant force they were in Japan ... and players who are close to their final years in the USA get lucrative contracts to play over there ... It's just on a different level ...

I understand what you're saying, I guess the term "star" threw me off. In the CFL we've got some great players, but I think, (and this is just me talkin') any player who lives under a "star" label, and starts to believe his own press, is short lived. So basically, we don't have players hanging around because of their name or past reputation.

Don't get me wrong, I watch NFL, but for me at least the only teams I like to watch at any time are either the Greenbay Packers, or the Oakland Raiders. The other teams just don't hold my interest.
Probably why I gave up on hockey...except with the NHL, there's just too many teams.

Sorry I didn't reconize any of those "big names". In fact if you researched many Canadian Football players, you'll find that they were either, not drafted by the NFL, or they were cut by NFL teams for not being good enough. In other words...NFL rejects. S

They use to carry Candian Football here in the States, but was replaced by the more popular National Spelling Bee.
