........and Uncle Dave will be MARRIED by Easter! (Woah! :eek
This little lady from Ft. Lauderdale has really pushed all the right buttons, and on March 26th, in front of our parents and kids ...... we're takin' the plunge. Whew!
No more jets ... no more airports just to have lunch .... no more endless cell phone talks till 4AM .....

Maureen has brought back new reasons to want to climb up on the stage, and the LEAST of which is performing together again after a 20 year hiatus!
I have always had an aversion to crossing the line between home and work ( maybe because I HATED homework as a kid! ) and because of that .... I stayed away from the possibilities of working with a loved one. Well, that old, tired rule has been thrown OUT THE WINDOW! I am officially changing my attitude towards sleeping with the singer! ( I know, silly right? )

So, anyway ..... I just wanted to bring you all up to speed on my mega-news, and now that it's out in the open:
We're registered at Tiffany & Co. and at Home Depot!
(ca$h is always nice too ......)

Seriously, this is promising to be quite the wild ride. ( Just the way I like it ) Maureen has a 7 yr old son who's father has deserted him, so I will adopt the little guy and we'll all have something brand new to celebtrate! His name is Zachary, and this weekend he got to see and play in SNOW for the very first time! It was magical how it just happened to dump on us the weekend he was here. That kind of "sealed the deal" for him .... it was just TOO cool.
It's so funny to see these "warm weather" types though .... they are so fragile when the wind blows. Don Mason would shrivel up and hide if he had to live in Philly!

Just wanted to shout the news. Carry on folks....I have a cell phone bill to abuse!

Home Depot, you say? Just post your address and see what you guys get!

Zachary will be a joy. My youngest son married a girl with a 9 year old son, Jeremy. I'm his grandpa...as close to him as I am to my other two grandchildren...just have fewer years to save for his college.

What an old softy you are...that's GREAT!
Now, If I'm invited, I'll come down an play my favorite wedding song, "Another One Bites The Dust"! We could all pitch in and buy Maureen a plaque naming her the most tolerant lady of the century!

Seriously, much happiness! You guys deserve it.

All the best,

Russ

Congratulations Dave. Maybe it's time to take up fishing--no better way to get to know a youngster than to take him or her fishing. Hope everything goes well for you, Maureen, Zach and the other side of your family. Have you broke the news to your daughters?

All the best,

Gary

Very many congratulations UD. Sincere good wishes for you and your fiance.

To quote from one of your fave shows....

" She has burst like the music of Angels, The light of the sun....

There is someone who touches my life. Waiting near! Waiting here!"

Hope that you and your Angel live, love and laugh together for many years.
Very best wishes

It is said that everyman wants a son ... You just took a little different course to get one ...

And after we had our son (God bless him), I later found that everyman NEEDS a daughter !!! (God bless her) ...

All the best!!!

But, I thought she was a red head?

So I guess your going to live in Philly? How did you get her to relocate? You must be a VERY persuasive man. That will surely end once you get hitched.

Much happiness to both of you!

I promised Maureen that if she gave me 6 years up here, I'd go anywhere in the world with her. I need 6 more years till my baby is in college, and after that ..... the world's ours for the taking. I hope we stay and just visit the south though .... all that sunshine can kill you!

I hear ya, UD.

I lived in Miami for 1 1/2 years, and believe it or not, I got sick of bright hot sunny days all the time.

I'm sure Maureen is going to have a problem with the cold weather. Your blood sort of thins out living in a warm climate. When I came back to New York, I was freezing at 50-60 degrees!! I now walk down to get my paper in the morning with just a flannel shirt on when it's 0-10 degrees.

I guess you'll just have to find new and interesting ways to keep her warm ;-)

Yeah ..... or maybe just the old tried and true ways !
Anyway ..... she's still a Jersey Girl at heart, and I'm sure she'll readjust. ( fingers crossed )
