Just interested in how accurate the forecasters are. Here in CT/NY border it's 9pm and we got about 4", they're saying we will get up to 30".

We just got nailed with 10 to 12 inches in north-central Maryland, and from the latest reports, we're going to miss the coastal storm that's headed your way. Tomorrow's forecast is for winds 25 to 45 MPH, which will cause considerable drifting, especially in open areas at the tops of hills. Want to guess where I live? Yep, the snow blower will more than pay for itself tomorrow.

Damnd I hate winter,

Gary

We already shoveled more than a foot off the driveway last night, and when I woke up this morning ... it looks like we got almost another foot! It sure is pretty though .... as long as you're loved ones are nearby, your fridge is well stocked, and your boots are warm and dry!

We (my daughter, her boyfriend/border and I)took a walk last night and it was really nice. It was :
"a beautiful sight, happy tonight, walkin' in a winter wonderland"

Remember to play a few of this seasonal songs this week .... they were never written for Holidays alone. It's all about connectiong with the times!

I've had friends in my place last night that live in NY and the Continental direct flights to Newark and Phila. were cancelled
due to heavy snow at both airports...they are happy they get to spend an extra day or two here in paradise....here's hoping that all you folks up there fare well and have a minimum of problems.....

It must be bad everywhere! Why, the temperature dipped into the 40's here last night. I may have to turn on the heater in my golf cart today.
Seriously though, I do miss the snow occasionally. If we get any winter percipitation here, it is most generally in the form of sleet or ice. All that does is cause damage and car wrecks.

Here in CT/NY border we got a total of 20", guess we're getting light snow Monday to tuesday and another possible snow storm Wed. to Thursday, "enough is enough", well it hasn't been that bad comparing to other years in the past.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, where my daughter lives, was reporting 60mph winds and almost 14" of snow - what a combination! They even cancelled the snow-plows on the highways - the drivers couldn't see where they were going. I guess that was the storm barrelling up from the eastern U.S. And you Americans usually blame Canada for all the bad winter weather ;-)

I was on the board last week reporting -44C here in the Great White North of Alberta, and here we were today at +8C. Guess my preference!

No heater necessary today, it's 71! I'm looking out the patio window at the guys playing G***.
No G*** for me today though. I'm trying to learn this SD1, and I have a terrible cold.

Here in Norway we're used to snow and all kinds of icy, slippery winter roads etc.
but "nothing are as it used to be" regarding to the weather anymore.
But now it's also snowing in Africa and Ibiza for the first time in 50 years!!
Looking at the pics in the news there are a lot of bad accidents and loss of lives.

Hmmm... it looks like strange things happens, maybe we're going to get the hot nice
weather all the year in this area in not too long?

That settles! I'm gonna' move to the Florida Keys. Damned I hate winter. Today's high was 21 degrees, it's down to 12 right now, and this weekend the weather prognosticator is calling for freezing rain and snow. I gotta' go where it's warm!

... not that I'm complaining, but I got sunburned Saturday playing G***. However it is cold and rainy tonight. Lower 40's. I'm not used to it. Don't like it. Going to Florida to live with Gary and Dave's new girlfriend.
