One of the benefits of living in New York is all the great shows, plays, music, and culture that abounds in the area. I got picked to see the show this evening. Took the day off and going to have some dinner and see Dave.
Almost thought the 10 inches of snow we had today was going to put an end to this.

Actually I went to high school In Port Arthur Ontario (before the name change to what it is today "Thunder Bay"), up at the top of Lake Superior. Paul lived in Fort William which was the neighbouring city. Port Arthur & Fort William amalgamated to become Thunder Bay. I believe Paul went to Fort William Collegiate, while I went to Lakeview High.
My father actually did a short stint (substitutue)as a music teacher in his school. ...Enjoy the show....I'm envious!!

Well...it was VERY loud!!
We sat front row center!!! I guess they thought my wife and I were enthusiastic!
His Hammond sounds wonderful and he also plays a Roland JD-800 synth for his Brass sounds. I couldn't quite make out the rest of his equipment. I almost caught a pick from the Bass Player. Man that guy jumps up and down alot.
Guest was Kirsty Alley and Dave was non-stop with the fat jokes.

Sounds like you had a great time. The singer, he had on, I don't recall her name, did some song that was very reminicent of Lucinda William's "I changed the Locks", especially the melody.

The singer was Kathleen Edwards from Canada. I enjoyed her songs a lot.
The band starts rehearsals at 4:00 pm and then the musical act (Kathleen) rehearses for 30 Minutes. At 5:00 pm they let us into the theatre and the band get's introduced and plays 3 tunes. Paul Joins the band on the 3rd tune.
They band plays all during commercial breaks when they turn UP the house sound system with sub-woofers et al. It get's really loud, then they turn down once filming starts again. They also play video clips of Dave's best skits during commercials for the audience.
The theatre is huge and the stage is very wide. The band has soo much room it's nut's. I wonder if there is a www.paulschaffer.com site where we can look up his equipment? hmmm, I'll have to check that out. DonM?

In chat rooms this means that you shout it out loudly. But if you like it then make so on!

An aunt of mine was living in Hamburg for more than 20 years. Now she's living somewhere in spain with her husband. I'm living in 'Frankfurt am Main' from where the AFN sends its radio broadcasts with 600 kilowatts (!) which is disturbing all amplification when cabel's shielding isn't sufficient enough. I often heard AFN in my rehearsal room while pausing with playing guitar. I don't wonder about it because I'm living about 5 kilometers next to the three transmitting antennas. What a power...
