I think you misunderstood me a bit, but that's my own fault
. I don't have one of those small flash players (they don't hold 10 GB either). I have an iRiver H320, which is a really great piece of hardware. It's not really the MP3 player that's the problem either. I thought there was some kind of device to put between the MP3 player and the stereo to amplify the signal a bit, that would be the ultimate solution. Btw, I tested the player with one of my friend's computer speakers some time ago and it worked fine
. Oh yeah, now I write too much again
. Anyway, moving the files to CDs or DVDs would defeat the whole purpose of having the player: being able to change files, delete files and so on.

P.s.: Why should I buy an iPod? Isn't iPod an MP3 player
? I already have something better

PPS: I think I remember you said once that you used a screen reader (like me). What screen reader do you use and what version? (It's always interesting to know)
