We're working out the details, but our favorite "Uncle" and his daughter may be making a Road Trip to Lexington on the 29th-30th.

If this happens, this will be the first "face-to-face" I've ever had with a Synthzone member (one of my favorites, too!)other than AJ at NAMM in Nashville.

He's looking for a Suitcase Rhodes, and I have two. I have never sold or traded an instrument before, and Dave is one of only two people I would consider letting have this
sentimental favorite.

We'll spend Friday evening and most of Saturday seeing the sights. They will come to my little 5-7 job. My late one was cancelled due to illness. Saturday, we'll look at the bird, dog and Koi at home, go to Keenland racetrack kitchen for breakfast, visit the Kentucky Horsepark and then have lunch at Spindletop Hall, the University of Kentucky Faculty Club. They'll leave for home in time for me top make my two Saturday evening jobs.

WHAT FUN!

Hope to see you guys, Dave...

Russ - my daughter has opted out, but I am in ! ( I'll call to confirm on Saturday. ( tomorrow ! )

UD...
If you are going to be KY on the 30th, does that mean you are not working NYE? If so, what a shame for the folks that should have hired you and could have enjoyed you.

I'm a little horse. Can I borrow your voice for the night?

Not only am I working NYE, but I'm bringing a 30 yr old beauty with me ! My co-director at school is joining me this year since neither one of us has a date. ( my sweetie and I are taking this slowly this time. )
So, I have 2 back-to-back travel days of 10 hours or more then a NYE party. Sheeesh .... I'm tired already !

(Thanx again, Russ !)

Phew! Good to hear U.D. That is too much talent not to be working NYE. Break a leg (so to speak.)

Hee Hee, sly, yes, but NO dog here.
The 30 yr old is a coworker, and that's it!
Since I got into this business, I NEVER, EVER dated or wooed a female in my band. That's the kiss of death to either the relationship or the ensemble.
I know some of you make it work, but I just can't see it. Rule number 1 for me - no sex in the band.

Now, waitresses, bartenders, dancers etc .... different story !

So - I'll be traveling alone to lovely Lexington !

Hey, Dave...bring the waitresses...bartenders...whatever. The guestroom is small, but sometimes, that's a GOOD THING.

And you're REALLY goin to LOVE this cherry Bontempi keyboard...37 keys...battery powered...$12.95 in 1971...not available in stores...a real collectors piece...well worth a thousand mile trip and two days on the road.

Plus, theres breakfast at the Manchester Center if we get there early enough.

Only the BEST for our favorite Uncle!

(PS) I'll try to get the lights and heat turned back on before you get here).

Hey Russ........... since you have a fine eye for all things wonderful, and ecclectic - I'l bringing this 1972(ish) mint condition Wurlitzer 200a electric piano.
This is the sound that made "These Eyes" sound so good, and many others!
("Take the long way home", "Logical Song", too many to remember !)
You can see this baby on tour with Norah Jones, or pick up any number of earlt Ray Charles records to hear it at it's best!

Excited yet? huh, huh?????
