Wanted one for years. Now, there's an imported model with a 17" body and a single floating humbucker for about $1600.00.

Got good reviews in several jazz publications.
I'm ordering it tomorrow. I'll let you know...!
Will play it in my trio with my son (upright) and grandson (drums) thru my new Jazzkat amplifier.

OH Boy, OH, BOY!

Russ

It's an EXL 1DP with a Kent Armstrong mini-humbucker. There's a comprehensive review posted on-line from Premier Guitar magazine.

That sounds great Russ. Please let me know how it works out when it arrives.

It sure looks sweet

Nigel, the D'Angelico is a pure delight. it's so good that I'll probably want to throw rocks at the Gretsch I ordered today.

Floating pick-ups, particularly Kent Armstrongs, are great. the Breezin album was done by Benson with a large body guitar with floaters.

Limited but GREAT sound for jazz.

This thing is fabulous! Something
I've always wanted.
