Haven't visited for a long time. I had some major sh*t go down and I'm just back on my feet.
Some pond scum broke into my locked garage and ripped off my T3, SP100, Rickenbacker TR35B, Fender 112, AKG wireless system, kb and mike stands, snakes & cables.

Everything was insured, but finding comparable gear has been a bitch.

Spent a good chunk on seriously beefing up the security system. Everything short of a pit bull and a howitzer.

It really set me back musically, and I had to do contracted gigs with "fill in" gear, which I wasn't used to.

Anyway....just wanted to say that that and a few other things (like getting my head around a Triton Extreme) have kept me pretty busy.

Getting gear stolen is a bitch. Sorry for that, but glad you're OK. Been wondering how you are. After all, us bored "Board" (as in drafting boards) guys need to stick together.

BTW, what kind of graphic design do you do? Our company mainly does retail stuff...packaging, over-packs, signage, instruction sheets, web sites, training materials and brochures for companies who sell into the hardware market (Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, True Value, Do it Best, Minards, etc.).

Keep in touch,

Russ

I work for a municipality...sorta like the countys they have in the states.

My main focus is with AutoCAD, designing and recording infrastructure, but a lot of my associated tasks involve taking and editting before and after pics for future development, basically renderings of what exists and what's proposed.

I use a bunch of different programs, probably 6 or 7 in total, depending on what I need. Some have better functions than others for particular tasks, and a better ease of use (less steps)than their counterparts.

I also seem to have adopted the task of writing VBA code for some other departments. It can actually be a nice break from the CAD & rendering work.
