Annie and I are celebrating our 44th anniversary today. It's the music business. If I'd been home every night, I'd haver been kicked to the curb about 40 years ago. Was barely 20 when we "tied the knot".

Guess why I'm still playing at night? "Old fingers, don't fail me now"!

Happy Anniversary, Russ and Annie!

I had to check the wedding anniversary list of offical gifts. Guess what's the official(?) 44-year anniversary gift? GROCERIES! That can only mean that Annie knows just what to buy to keep you in your place.LOL

Wishing you and Annie a very special day, my friend.

Well done Cap'n,
As they say "when you find a good woman, don't let her go"......I was never lucky enough to find a bad woman, but I cannot complain, mine has done me proud, and I wouldn't change her for the world.

Maybe "bad" women are just not attracted to you, Saint. And that might save you a trip to the VD clinic.

Hey Captain Russ,
You are sounding a lot more chirpier lately.
How are the wounds (physical and emotionally) healing? You may yet reach 45yrs, which is where "The gardener" and I are at the moment. Unless she shows me the door, after I bought the KN7000!!!!
See Ya !!!

Hey, Ray, thanks for asking. The jury is still out on the left arm and hand. Like a fool, I pushed the hand too hard, and did some more damage. My goal was to record Masquerade on guitar about three weeks after the accident. I worked up to 4 hours a day trying to get used to having no feeling in my fingers. I got some feeling back....OUCH!. I can make my gigs on arranger now, but the rest is coming pretty slow.

I'm still just mad a myself for the reaction during the incident. I went way over where I should have and hurt this kid a lot worse than I should have.

That was wrong, and I am doubling my annual gift to an after school music program I helped establish for disadvantaged youth.

Thing is, this is just the kind of kid that easily falls through the cracks, and I have a special place in my heart for them. The lesson is, we CAN'T give up on them. I have settled the legal issue (an idiot lawyer wanted to file a civil suit agasinst me), and will have a full time job of the this kid when he is approved for work release in about 5 more months. I've been to see him twice and visited with his family. He's completely embarassed and is getting a lot of criticism from the community. I didn't know I was so well known and liked.

He needs a 2nd shot, and I'm going to give it to him.

I just wish I had't "lost it" and hurt him as badly as I did.
