With the Ketron SD1, we offer new drum kits/loops that are loaded with the new styles and/or sounds lib.(this also applies for the bonus styles that are provided on the HD). New sounds are also included. Rather than generating new styles with existing sounds and drumkits, when we give you a new style, we mean the style (not just the arrangement) is entirely NEW!

That SD-1 is one mean keyboard, and I honestly think has to be the best sounding arranger out there on the market! As far as I'm concerned the SD-1's styles cannot be beaten by any other keyboard. If I could afford one I'd be playing it right now instead of complaining about Yamaha.. Since I cannot afford the SD-1, I have to look into a drum machine... I tell you what, I miss the days when I had no bills... Having a wife, a daughter and being the sole provider for my family, my money is spent before it even gets into my hands...

I agree with others the psr9000 or 9000 pro styles(drums) sound good to me ...especially with new styles I added and using multipad drums to spice it up.

And I agree with you that the relatively cheaper psr's don't sound as good... that's why I passed on them ... and I remember BEBOP commenting the same way ... when he bought his PSR9000... he had thought that Yamaha only made the lower end models that were like casio and sold in dept stores.

I feel for you man, having responsibilites and not being able to afford the keyboard of your dreams!

Maybe you can buy a used keyboard you like ...or buy a djx and midi it together since you like the djx drum sounds... you can pick one up really cheap on ebay.

Just like you like the sd1, I love the psr9000! Hope you can buy the keyboard of you dreams (sd1).
