Folks, whether wireless connection is possible or not is not the issue I was bringing up. The wireless connection may indeed have been possible, but what the T2 will do having made this connection is another story.
When you connect to Internet, you either use a cable (or phone) connection, or a wireless setup. Once you are connected, though, you have to be able to get to the website (specify the URL) and then access the contents at the site. Even if you do specify the site location, you need a way to access contents. I am sure that the Yamaha's website is built to allow navigation and operation using the limited browsing functions included in the Tyros OS,(I am also sure that it does not have a full browser feature built in). Even if all you wanted to do was to connect to your PC and access a shared folder, I don't think that Tyros OS allows you to do this.
In other words, you may be all hooked up, but nowhere to go (except Yamaha's website, specifically designed to sell you Tyros stuff).
I am also pretty sure that before you can log in to Yamaha site with your T2, you need to first connect with your computer and provide them with your credit card # (no send me the bill later option here).
As I don't envision myself spontaneously purchasing stuff from anyone (even if I did have a T2), this feature is of little use to me. If you, on the other hand, hear a style that appeals to you, and immediately want to plunk you money down to buy it, then this is something to get excited about.
Out of curiosity - Internet connection is supposedly available now in PSR 3000. Are there any 3000 users who have made use of this feature?
Regards, Alex

However be aware that bluetooth is quite slow. Hi Chony, I have a bluetooth enabled cell phone (Motorola Razr) and use it primariy for wireless headset convenience, and occasional transfer of data (pics, addressbook info, etc) between my phone & PC. I concur with you that Bluetooth's much slower than USB. Though I won't use the Bluetooth connection for moving large (audio) files back/forth between my PC & Tyros2, it will be a convenient way to transfer newly edited Tyros styles, registrations, and MusicFinder Files edited on the PC, back/forth between my PC & Tyros. If nothing else, it's a lot of fun to watch the data somehow magically pass thru thin air from one device to the other. - Scott

Guys,
Sorry to dampen your wireless dreams, but I don't think you will be able to use the networking interface (wireless or otherwise) to connect to your PC any more than the present PSR3000 owners can do it. I'm afraid you will still have to use the USB cables. I don't believe you will be able to use Bluetooth or WiFi (802.11x) or even ethernet wires to connect Tyros to your PC for transferring anything at all.
The only purpose of the Tyros2 network connection is to connect to Yamaha web site and entice you to purchase styles, midi files, and sounds from them.
I will be extremely surprised if this is not the case.
I think that a built-in Bluetooth connection for an arranger keyboard is an excellent idea, though. You can find BT HiFi stereo headphones today. With the BT connection, you could have the keyboard wirelessly connected to your PA. Don't know about you, but for me running the wires from the keyboard and PA is a major annoyance, as well as a trip hazard. If I could replace them with the reliable wireless connection, I'd be a happy camper.
