Sounds nice Doc.

best wishes
Rikki

p.s Hypersonic sounds good, are you still happy with it? Did you ever get mega voices working??

I've decided to try an sd2 with OMB so that I can incorporate some of the Live Drum midi loops as part of an OMB style.

Thanks guys!

Well I'm very happy with Hypersonic... The only thing I'm complaining about is the pianos.. they don't sound right. Allthough you can get some decent sounds by tweaking them.. but all in all I've heard much better pianos elsewhere.

When it comes to the megavoices, I've managed to create megavoice compatible guitars. However, since you can't add samples to Hypersonic, I've haven't gotten them 100% compatible. I'm currently working on creating megavoice compatible sf2's as a workaround. Maybe I'll build a whole SF2 library of sounds to use instead. I'm not sure.. will see how much time I get to play around with it

I've posted another example, this uses the other Christmax Swing style from the Tyros.

Something not quite right with that last one, Doc..... Did YOU choose to pan all the drums to the right side, or was that some decision OMB made from the translated style? (Plus there's a little 'hole' in the style at the end of each phrase repetition.... anyone with a Yamaha care to say what's supposed to go there?)

But, on the whole, pretty good from an all software solution, without having to go the Wersi/Lionstracs route. Kudos, Doc.

Hi Doc,
I quite like the sgm128 piano 1 for my arpeggiated styles. It's not a very large font, only about 7mb's, but to my ears it works better in my yammie styles than some of my 50mb plus piano fonts. Maybe I'm easily pleased or my hearing's off..

I must admit, piano has been one of the hardest fonts to settle on. I've probably just gotten so used to the grand piano sound in my clavinova, nothing else sounds right.

I do like the flexibility of the soundfont system.

best wishes
Rikki

Thanks for your input guys. On my speakers the drums don't pan to right. Weird..I'll look into it! If there's something missing please let me know! I'll try to fix it

I've investigated further. You were right! Looks like the drums are panned 100% right in the style itself. I couldn't hear it because my desktop speakers use a processor to send the sound to all my 5 speakers. I've edited the style and it sounds much better now!

Wow.. What a clean, clear and pleasant voice you have!!! It's nice to hear your demo without all the excessive vocal reverb that seems to be so prevalent. Regards, Russ

Thank you Russ. I appreciate your feedback. I usually use a 80-90% dry signal and 20-10% reverb.
