Hello

I am quite sure I saw a post someplace about where one could get the new brackets for the speakers and music rack for the Tyros. I have looked and looked.

Does anyone have this info?

Hi Scott,

I ordered mine from an online shop in Germany, as my portuguese dealer couldn't order it. You can check the information (sorry, it's in german) here: http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_europe/germany/service/070_news_events/20030730_Tyros/index.php

Here is the German translation:

"Immediately! The comfortable mounting plate system for the TYROS. With the Tyros mounting plate you can re-equip your Tyros in a simple manner for mobile Live employment. The mounting plates for the loudspeakers and the note stand can be simply attached no more screwed on and off, but after assembly, the Trs-h1 Speakers can be taken on and off again."

I dare say if you purchase these brackets, etc., from a foreign Country you're up a creek without a paddle if they arrive damaged, etc. Plus there would be NO warranty. Yamaha should give USA customers and Tyros owners this niffty Bracket assembly too. They would sell a boat load of them IMO because of the convenience and ease of use with the new Assembly package retrofit. One of the main gripes with the Tyros Speaker System and 'Music Rack' is the awkward assembly and break down of them and this can become very tedious to do especially if you Gig a lot. My 2 cents.

Best regards,
Mike

I thought the last post I saw on it said it could be gotten directly from the US and/or England.

It seems to me ScottYee was in the post, but I just can not locate it. Was I dreaming?

Maybe you were dreaming! The only previous "conversation" on this, that I'm aware of, is here: http://www.synthzone.com/ubbs/Forum37/HTML/007108.html
The best would be to contact you Yamaha dealer in the States!

That translates into $29.40 US.

In looking at the pic, I am thinking a trip to Home Depot may be in order here.

Looks like about a $3.00 do-it-yourself job.

I ordered my kit exactly from the store mentioned in this thread. You can have all the menus in english and I think they will ship to the USA.

Hi Jose

Did you get yours yet? If so, how long did it take? How much was it with shipping? Do they work pretty good?

I think I still will take a walk through the hardware store just to investigate.

Save yourself some money. Take the original brackets and either use a band saw or a regular hacksaw and saw slots in the brackets. The top part will come off but you do not lose any stability when mounting the music stand. I did this to mine over two months ago and it still works fine. you may wish to purchase a product ( can't think of the name) that will keep the screws from backing out or in. Home Depot has it. It is a liquid and forms a bond after a minute or two. Sorry i can't remember the name. Bob

Scott and everybody,

My brackets for Tyros are mounted now. The delivery was super fast. I received them 6 working days after my online order. Two days to send the package and four more days to reach my town. From Germany to Portugal.

They are very easy to mount and work perfectly, after 10 minutes putting the screws in their places. Instructions in German and English (but they're not needed anyway). I'll quit using my temporary solution to hold the speakers (with velcro). I'll be able to use my case with "normal" dimensions and won't be afraid of transporting my "brackets-ready" keyboard everywhere.

Hi Jose

That's good news. Glad to hear you like them. Do they hold the music rack and speakers pretty steady? Or do you get a little giggle?

Scott: extremely steady (it uses the holes already present in the factory brackets and in the keyboard).

Hi José Great to hear that you've received the Tyros bracket "mounting plates" and that they're working out well for you.
http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_europe/germany/service/070_news_events/20030730_Tyros/index.php

I really want to purchase them too, but the Yamaha USA parts dept: (714)522-9011 informed me (a couple of weeks ago) that the TRS-H1 "mounting plates" are only available from Yamaha Germany, and not available from Yamaha USA. I emailed Yamaha Germany but unfortunately never received a response.
so . . .

I'm wondering if Steve Deming (Yamaha USA)could do anything to help out here because I desparately want these TRS-H1 Tyros "Mounting Plates" for my Tyros.

Scott

Hello

I contacted Yamaha in Germany. They replied that I should contact Yamaha US. haha.

I understand that these brackets are now being included with new Tyros' at least in Europe.

I did get one response from the following company in Germany. It is $30 in round figures. I emailed them again to see if that included freight or if it would be extra.

Yes, I really wish we could get these here in this country. Maybe even as a free upgrade!

Here is their response:

Hello,

UPDATE: I was just informed by Yamaha USA product support tech (Martin) that Mark Anderson (head of Yamaha USA keyboard sales) has now been made aware of new Yamaha Tyros TRS-H1 "Brackets Plates", and that Yamaha USA will do what they can to make them available from Yamaha USA. Martin advised me that either he or Mark Anderson will get back to me (within 2 weeks) to update the availability situation. Let's keep our finger's crossed. - Scott

Hi ScottY

Hope you have more luck than I have so far. Here is my correspondence with YamahaUS:

Scott,
These are only available through the Yamaha in Germany. The US is not
carrying them.

Hello

I understand in Germany there is now a set of brackets
for the Tyros that allows one to slide the speakers
and music rack off and on without leaving the plastic
holders that stick out on the keyboard. I also
understand that the new Tyros being delivered comes
with these brackets. It is Trs-h1. I and a number of
people would like to get those.

Hello

I got an answer from the Thomann music company in Germany. They said the shipping cost was EUR47,00. That is $54.98. I take it that is the complete cost with the brackets and shipping, but I sent them another email to clarify. Sounds a little steep to me.

Actually I probably will only want to get two for the music rack. I quite sure the price is for four for those who use the speaker system. I doubt that I will use the Tyros speaker system. If I ever wanted small monitors though they would not include a subwoofer.
