I'm looking for highly professional styles created for the T2. Is it worth the bother to hook my keyboard to the IDC Yamaha site?

Are there any other places I can get really good T2 styles?

(Please don't post links to generic XG styles etc, I'm looking for styles that utilize megavoices and are tweaked for the Tyros).

Thanks, Chony

I think that the IDC site is definitely worth the while: there are some great styles there, and all tailored for the Tyros 2; too bad that, after the initial batch, Yamaha hasn't released more: they are no doubt worth the price.

Chony: I have found several styles via IDC that are worthwhile. Also, the SVPWorld site has three disks of styles for sale that are specifically built around megavoices.

The SVP styles are great, but even there, it is very hard to find 3/4 styles that are not chick boom boom.

Graham: Chony didn't mention 3/4 specifically. However, I do agree with you.

Lately, I needed some straight 3/4 styles. I have used the Country Waltz and Jazz Waltz Slow styles on the T2.

For the Country Waltz style, I turned off everything except for the drums and only used variations A,B,C. For the Jazz Waltz Slow style I only used drum, bass, guitar and only used variations A and B (C and D had too much swing). I also turned off autofill to turn off the fills when switching variations because the fills swung too much as well.

Chony: I am using all of this in the monthly Friday night service I do that I told you about previously.

Thank link is amazing! I've just downloaded the free styles from Italy and I'm about to load them and see how good they are.

I wish there were better rock and dance styles. I think that Yamaha is deficient in this area compared to the compeition...

I completely agree with what has been said about 3/4. There are no good ones on the Tyros at all - so I'm forced to steer clear as much as possible.

Guitar Serenade is good for 3/4 ballads. I often slow down 6/8 Modern Ballad for a straight 3/4, but those are about it.
