It's been a while since I had my 9000Pro, but I've noticed quite recently that my keyboard is actually "hissing" when I put the volume right up. Of course every electronic musical device creates a fair bit of noise, (I believe it's called signal to noise-ratio) but my 9000Pro is very noisy.
So if there are any users of PSR9000, or 9000Pro, could you please check if your keyboard makes a significant "hiss" at loud volumes?
I have compared this to a Yamaha Motif and the Motif is very quiet. (So much for the Yamaha's "Pro" ). Even on headphones you can hear this "hissing". Not buzzing noise, just hissing.
Hi: Puzk I just tried my 9000 Pro & there is no "hissing" or any noise, I used my headphone's & I can't hear any difference from volume control set at low to full volume. Complete silence. The same holds true going thru my PA system, it is very quiet. I can get some hissing noise if I connect the Pro to my mixer & turn everything up to max volume, but I think this is normal. Hope this helps. Enjoying the 9000 Pro Denny

I get hiss at full volume on my 9000Pro, but it would be impossible to play at this volume. As an example play your 9000Pro at as loud a setting as you would normally. Now without touching the volume STOP the keyboard and then listen for hiss....its basically inaudible.

Like Jerry and Andrea said, with flat equalization I don´t have any problem, but if the high frequencies level is too high the "hissing" is too strong.
Shakil you were right. Thanks, I just realised that it was my mic volume. And the high eq'ing made even less noise when I put the volume up.
I was getting suspicious of the power supply of the keyboard because sometimes it was making some noise on the keyboard.
Anyway, I would like to comment that if anyone's using the 9000pro or any other PSR that uses a mic input, to put the mic level to zero when you are not using the mic. It makes a significant noise on your keyboard output.

GOOSE LIGHTS....The drone \ hum from my Goose Light if switched on would over power any Hiss. Anyone else think the Goose Lights produce hum on their 9000Pro
Graham, I'm a poor man & could not afford the Goose Neck Lights, Sooooooo,,,,, I have to hang my gas lantern from the ceiling of the cock pit to see the controls, & hope like H*** the runway is lit real good. Or just fly by the light of Day. LOL Denny
