One disappoint I've read from several people here about the Tyros is that it doesn't come with 'Scat' voice sounds.
Well, here's some good news! Pretty convincing sounding Scat voices: "Uuh Aah Choir", is now available for the Tyros from CD-Soft (Germany), and is included in the following CD-Soft Tyros 'custom voice' collection: http://www.cd-soft.de/YAMAHA_-_Tyros/Tyr...unds_40-49.html
The patch 'Uuh Aah Choir' is velocity sensitive. If you hit the key softly, you get a male voice singing a low oooh, if you hit the note harder, you get a female voice singing ahhhh an octave higher. Since I don't own a 9000pro I'm unable to compare how the CD-Soft "Uuh Aah Choir" 'Custom Sound' for Tyros, compares with the scat voice patch included in the 9000pro. Anyone know where I can hear an MP3 song demo which includes a sample of the 9000pro scat voice? Thanks.

No, not yet, but thanks to Eric's link to Michel's excellent demo, it's inspired me now to try out his technique (of mixing the scat voices with his own) out myself on the Tyros, though I suspect the CD-Soft 'uuh aah choir'voice may not sound nearly as impressive as the dedicated preset 'scat voice' included on the PSR9000. - Scott

Scott, (and other Ty-bos) Do you LIKE the scats in the factory Tyros programs? I was very disapointed with them. There were a few choirs that were ok, but so far - no one touches the Roland scats in my book.
I went straight to the voice section when I test drove the Ty...and came away running !
