The Yamaha arranger keyboard styles sound better than Korg's and Roland's styles IMO. Also there is no reason to bring out S700/S900 that have been speculated often on this forum. Just because the Tyros 2, PSR-3000, PSR-1500 and PSR-S500 models will cover all the needs for the current arranger market needs.

E60 is the only 76 keys keyboard that offers so much for the price. even E50 is a winner - of course, IMO - but there is nothing competing with E60.
now, of course there are also some other good keyboards out there, yamaha is also a good choice, but everything is relative, to your needs.
btw, i am not sure zuki is much more happier now, that he gave up on his E50...

Donnie, It doesn't mean anything.
PSR200
PSR9000
None
VA76
Tyros
None
VA
PSR3000
EXR7
EXR3
E50

Here is a quote from Fran's posting to Zuki,
"Zuki,, What are you doing?
I thought we talked you into keeping a keyboard for at least a couple months..

What's on your mind? What do you want to get now?"

I also questioned him on downgrading from PSR3000 to EXR7 (IMO) then downgrading again to EXR3.

However, neither of them cover my needs:

* PSR-3000 and 1500 have been around for 3 years. Judging by the MP3 demos the 1500 does not worth and the 3000 has a very cheesy keyboard. In either way I wouldn't invest in a 3 years old piece of hardware.

* Tyros 2 is tooooo expensive.

* The S500 sounds great but is only 32 poly no L/R output, no microphone input.

What's more, they must introduce new models to give us new toys. See - they release low-level model on every NAMM.

Kind regards,
George
