I saw this link today, there's lots of info. here. Including a thing where you can compare any of their boards. I typed in the PSR-2000 & the 740. This is put out by Yamaha! Joe Francis pointed this out over on the PK forum. Maybe a lot of your questions could be answered by Yamaha! There's a place to type in questions that are not already answered.

Yes, this is a useful site. It has been listed on the Yamaha page at Synth Zone for a few months now.

It answered one Question I was looking for all the time ....

THE PSR2000 have 580k(46,000 notes) Memory for the Composer.that's a higher memory than the 9000PRO and the psr9000!

The comparison chart shows only 4 user styles. I wish there were more. I wonder if you can edit the factory styles and save them back to their original location or if that's forever set in rom. It might not be an issue if you can load a user style quickly but if you are doing it from floppy disk.... hmmm The psr2000 is still very interesting to me.

Read your other posting on this subject.
I may be wrong, but I believe these are 4 custom slots like the 3 on the 740 and have nothing to do with the flash memory storage
where you will store styles, songs, and registration settings,they will share the same area. It will act a little like a CP hd. Anyway read the other posting,it will show where you can use styles from the floppy without loading. You can play songs also.

Hi Nobby. So you have 4 user slots plus the ability to flash styles into a memeory area. That's an interesting approach. I'm sure we'll be hearing more on this units actual capabilities pretty soon. Looks like they're getting close to lift off.
