Bebop , you make a good point..
Kate's upper range is almost screeching to me..it reminds me what I didn't like about Mariah Carey..It becomes non musical to me..
I am sure when someone starts working with her , she will develop so she will have better vocal control..
I thought even though she did a great job with "Over the rainbow"...it could have been better with an improved upper range..

Taylor, will do find with his style..although I wouldn't want to listen to him[or anyone] all day in my motorhome[If I had one]...Now video is another thing..I could watch Kat all day..I would just lower the volume after a couple songs..

Kate made two bad obvious errors in her rainbow performance that really marred it for listening vocalists and/or musicians. However for laymen it would sell well. she would not have made either of these booboos if she had a decent vocal coach, which she will have before burning any CD's for internationl publication.
I like Taylor. I like to watch Taylor. I like some of his vocals. He is a fine showman and can really work a house and that is what sells in the clubs, and theatres but not on CD's.
I expect Taylor to win but that is certainly not to say that Kate looses. I anxiously await her CD.
I am also anxiously awaiting a cd from one of our plank owners here in this forum to be playing on my trip to Canada in July.2500 miles of 4.00 fuel at 7 Miles per gallon and good music.
Fran be glad you don't have a motorhome right now but if you get/got the yen we can talk

Bebop, the motorhome is in the cards...I have been thinking about it for a year now.

I agree, kate will do fine..So will a few of the others on the gone list..

Taylor will make plenty , just in Ala. alone..

When it comes to vocal quality, Kate has my vote. While it's unlikely that she will win there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that she has an incredible singing career ahead of her.

I said a while back that Kat's future is in high class clubs like in Vegas or AC or other top casinos ... To me she is not really a 'pop' star ...(except to THIS pop ... did I REALLY say that )

Just saw my favourite Elliot bow out. I gotta tell ya i felt emotional for him too. By far the best vocalist of the 3 but it was just so close......

I dont really want to see who wins now. Neither of the top two in my eyes are pop idols. Kat should be on Broad way as she has knock em dead vocals and looks but no charisma whatsoever. And Taylor should be playing live gigs at the Appolo , his voice is good but without the personality that his live performances bring i am not sure that it will translate so well onto CD. But i wsih themall well. They have provided excellent entertainment.

Katherine didn't rise to the occassion.

If the votes come in for voice quality alone, Kate would win hands down. However, Taylor provided the audience with incredible showmanship, which IMO will likely sway the vote in his direction. Either way, it will be a tight finish.
