The ‘Total-KN7000-64.ZIP’ file below, was originally downloaded from the ‘Technics KN7000.com’ Website. However, That website has now closed and the many files which existed on the pages, are no longer available. Probably the most useful of all these files, for KN7000 owners, is the ‘Total 64MB’ file. This file is in ‘.SDB’ format - the format used to back-up an SD Card, when using the ‘Song Manager’ software, supplied with the KN7000. Note that the file is just over 17MB in size, so will take some time to download. The file contains all the Built-In styles from previous KN series keyboards (KN2000, KN3000, KN5000 and KN6500) and are in COMPOSER memory format. In addition to these styles, the file also includes 82 new ‘World’ styles and 45 styles from the KN2600. The KN2600 has many styles which are common with the KN7000 and the 45 styles included in this file, are in addition to the KN7000 styles. You will need an SD Card with a capacity of 128MB or greater, for storage of the styles and a USB Card Reader/Writer suitable for SD Cards. If you do not possess a suitable SD Card Reader/Writer, it is also possible to use the KN7000, linked to your PC via USB, to effect the file transfers to the Card. However, this method is very slow and not really recommended. Right click on the required Filenames below and in the context menu which appears, click on ‘Save Target as...’. Navigate to a suitable Folder, into which the file is to be downloaded and click on ‘Save’. Having downloaded the file, unzip it to a Temporary Folder on your PC - you should then see a single file called ‘Total KN7000 64.sdb’ Then start the ‘Song Manager’ program. Insert a Blank SD Card in the Reader/Writer and connect the Reader/Writer to a USB port on your PC. Click on ‘SD Manage’ in the top Menu of the Song Manager screen and in the drop-down menu, select ‘SD Restore’. In the next window, navigate to the Temporary Folder, in which the ‘Total KN7000 64.sdb’ file is located, click on the file, followed by ‘Open’. Acknowledge the ‘warning message’ (Yes) and then select ‘The SD Card in the SD Card Reader/Writer’. In the following ‘Browse for Folder’ window, look for an entry ‘Removable Disk (X:)’ where (X:) will be the drive letter assigned to the Reader/Writer. Click on this entry followed by ‘OK’ and the transfer process will begin. The file transfer process will take around 14 to 15 minutes so it might be a good time to make a cup of coffee! When the transfer process has finished, a small window will appear, indicating that the transfer is completed. All the styles will then be visible, when the card is inserted into your KN7000. The above text is also available as a download, in Text Format - select ‘Instructions’ below. I have also included below, a list of the styles and a list of some suggested songs for individual styles. These files are in PDF format and you will need ‘Adobe Reader’ to access them and you may wish to print them out, for reference.
