I've known Roland Martin since he was a guide at Maryland's Loch Raven Reservoir. I've fished with him on Press Day at the Bass Master's Classic, and I can guarantee you that he would never call me Son--at least not without adding some other words to it.
Then I would have tossed him overboard. He is from just below the Mason/Dixon Line, but I've never heard him referred to as a "good ol' boy."
