Perhaps, when he was looking at it, he might have asked 'What's the USB port for?' or 'how do I get new styles?' or 'how do I communicate with others who have one, too?'. All of which would have garnered the response 'with a computer'...

Old people seem to be the MOST concerned about saving money and taking their sweet time researching their purchases in the checkout lines at a supermarket Perhaps that degree of care and attention should have been used BEFORE he bought something that is little more than a computer with a keyboard attached. Personally, most of the elderly that I know are VERY into their computers, offering a cheap, easy way to communicate with their families, friends and interest groups...
