Bill, not sure if this is the best place to ask, but may as well start somewhere...

A friend of mine had a Roland BK-9 home for the week on trial, and he really liked it a lot, even after having had an E-60, which was a great keyboard.

However, he discovered a bit of a problem.

He found an issue with the Chord Sequencer whereas it would not transpose along with the rest of the instrument when doing a modulation (using the transposer) after a first time through, as you may often do in a song.

One of the major reasons he was interested in the BK-9 was because of the Chord Sequencer, so you could say he was very disappointed, and may forgo getting it altogether.

Firstly, is this issue common to all BK-9's or is he having a problem with the specific one he took out...a defective instrument, perhaps?

Secondly, if it is a common OS problem, or bug perhaps, has Roland acknowledged the issue, and, more importantly, have they said a fix is on the way?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, and I apologize in advance for any distraction to your initial post.

Ian
