Hi,
Can someone please help me? I'm scanning all my music into my laptop, and now I'm looking for a program that will sort them, maybe in a database style format, so that I can pre-select a song-list before an event, and then just click through them on stage. Does anyone know a program like that?

I've thought of a picture organiser program, but I'm wondering about the problem of one song being spread over various pages (which are scanned obviously as seperate images). Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks,
Zalmi

Zalmi,

You can cut and past to link all the images together, then save it under a single file name for each song. For example, let assume you have three sheets of scanned music for "Unforgetable." Those three sheets can be placed on a single page using PhotoShop or PhotoPaint, then renamed to the name of the song. Now when you open that folder, they'll all be listed alphabetically. Nothing to it!

OK Fran, it's fixed.
Good Luck,

Gary

travlin'easy, does that mean that it'll have to be smaller to fit it all on one page? Or do I make the page length longer, and then scroll down the page?

Just make the page length longer and scroll down the document with the cursor keys. There is a footswitch configuration for scrolling, but I don't have that particular information available yet. As soon as I do, I'll post it on the forums.

See thread of 12/31
I scanned 1500 or so in Paperport. I also databased the same info as shortcut to Paperport, but I don't think it was necessary if you organize index properly.
Also, the search function is very good. One has to merely type in part of a song, and up it comes.

Thanks Travlin'Easy and Bernie,

I hadn't noticed that thread before. The information is very useful. I'll try it.
Thanks again.
