In our band we used the Korg ih Vocal Harmonizer for a looooong time, but last week I checked the new TC-Helicon VoiceWorks and am very impressed by its sound/features.

This is why I purchased the VoiceWorks and .... amazing !
Please check http://www.tc-helicon.tc/Default.asp?Id=1688

All what I want is in this machine :
HiQ mic-amp with phantom
4-voice harmony,
effects as reverb, delay etc.
EQ and dynamics on both lead and harmony,
Voice 'thickening',
vibrato, breath etc.,
100 programmable presets, song mode,
and pitch-correction (As the Intonator)

I think it is much better than the VoicePrism that I tested a few years ago.

Roel,
I bought a Vw when they first hit the market and I think it is outstanding and better than the Prism and P+ as well. According to TC's site, it has new modeling technology beyond the Prisms.

Wow! And isn't this (or a very close relative) what's going into the new Korg PA1-X keyboard? Awesome or what?

VoiceWorks incorporates advances (e.g., "harmony hold" which allows you to sustain a harmony while you sing over it) introduced in the VoiceOne, which incorporated advances (e.g., more natural sounding "hybrid" pitch shifting) over the VoicePrism.

While the Korg PAX1Pro uses TC-Helicon technology, we don't which generation technology it uses. I would guess VoicePrism rather than VoiceWorks, since it is the VoicePrism that, like the Korg, accepts a voice-modeling add on. You might get something more advanced, but you might get something old or cut down relative to the top of the line products. We really need to have specifications, not just a brand name. Then, of course, we need it UD tested.

JJ,
At least the VW has less noise compared to the VP. I have not seen the VP+.
I do not sing at all... the rest of our 'band' (Wietse) sings

The price of VP's dropped dramatically to 50% of original prices.
JJ. you'd better NOT check the VW..... it will cost you money !!

Roel,

Yes you are right...the VP have too much noise for me .

So, if I understand what you mean, the only thing I have to do is to buy a VW or.....waiting to the brand new Korg ?
What a dilemna
