I by mistake accidently deleted a recent thread I initiated, in which I invited members to checkout my latest video clip performance of: 'Since I Fell For You' posted on my website: http://scottyee.com]
http://scottyee.com In this thread, I had also encouraged other Synthzone members to contribute & post video clips of their music performances as well, of which Brian (MagicUser) took me up on, and posted video clips of his music:
http://www.infoblvd.net/bnadworn/music/ Brian, thanks & congratualations on succesfully posting your first video song clips. The ability to watch you perform as well as hear you, gives us a closer peek into your music world. My favorite clips were of you playing 'Classical Gas' on the piano and your fitting rendition of 'If I were a Carpenter', especially realizing that you yourself designed & built your home. An amazing transformation and energy efficient to boot. Love the solar panels.
Btw, for those who haven't seen it yet, checkout Brian's terrific house (dome) shots here:

Ok folks, my apologies again for accidently deleting the original thread. Luckily, I was able to retrieve a copy of the originaltext:

Synthzone friends and family,
For those interested, I just posted ANOTHER video clip up onto my recently updated & re-designed website. This one's my vocal rendition of the classic ballad: "Since I Fell For You" :
http://scottyee.com Go to Song Demos Page:
in the Video Performances section, click on the 'right hand' thumbnail image to play it. It's a 3:50 minute WMV clip (10 megabyte) so it'll require Windows Media Player and a DSL/Cable connection to play properly.
This television show performance was recorded back in the mid 90's (before I was playing an arranger keyboard), so it includes a backup arrangement which I had myself pre-sequenced utilizing the classic Korg 01W/FD keyboard. As a longtime Korg fan, I'm keeping an ear to possibly adding a Korg keyboard again to my music arsenal in the near future.
In addition to making a few visual tweaks to the my website, I've also added the song "Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying" which I overlooked including earlier. Your thoughts and feedback are appreciated as usual.
Scott

That's just great Scott. It's a blast seeing you freed from the keyboard apart from the solo. You seem very comfortable with the handheld microphone. That's a really nicely produced video with very good camera directing. It's just another great addition to your new website.

Scott,
Very nice video clips. I have a slow connection but I knew they would be worth the wait to see them. Very nice singing. You seemed comfortable with your hands not being on the keyboard as well. Some people don't know what to do with their hands while singing. When I'm not playing I'm signing (sign language) so my hands stay busy
The web site looks great. Nice simple and informative. Any web site that entertains me is a big plus and yours does that right from the start.

Donny, thanks for your continuing support. I recall you mentioning you have video tape footage of you performing as well, so please get yours converted to digital ASAP, so we can enjoy them as well. Whadda ya say?
Nigel, that microphone (EV N/D757) is actually the SAME one I still use today. I suppose I cling to it with the same tennacity as Fran Carango has with his Roland G1000.
Brian, thanks for taking what I'd guess must be a long time to download with a slower (56k?) internet connection. Curious just 'how long' it takes with a 56k connection to download those videos, 6 & 10 megabytes each respectively. Also, you say: when you're not playing, you're signing. Curious (if you're a singer too) if you perhaps sign while singing as well.
Thanks again to all for your interest, support, and feedback. Much appreciated. - Scott

Hi Scott,
Another excellent video performance! Keep that Plextor busy converting... I bet you have more of those music vids stashed away there in Yeeville.
I'm also really glad to see more MP3s on the board here from different members and their respective arranger keyboards... great stuff!
All the best,
Rich

Rich, I really doubt you'd want to see the one of me singing for Miss Brown's 3rd grade class musical would you? Even if you did, I vow to keep 'that' one under my hat.
I do have a couple more TV performance videos converted though, but think I'll hold out posting them untill I finally get to see some video performance clips from you and others here. Nothing like a little leverage eh?
Thanks Rich & Claude for your continued interest & support. I too really hope more people here will begin posting not only audio demos of their music, but video clips too. Afterall, if (as confusious say: 'a picture's worth a thousand words', than a video must be worth at least a couple of million.
Bring on your performance video clips folks.

Scott,
I get the hint. I have been trying to get something together and will try to get it soon. Fair is fair. I will ask one of my kids to help me put a few songs together for your viewing pleasure!?! well... at least to see it
By the way it takes about 30 minutes a clip on the dial up to download. So about an hour for both videos.

Brian,
OMG! I didn't realize it took THAT long with 56k. That's true dedication of which I'm truly appreciative of. I'm glad to hear that you felt it 'worth' the wait. With DSL/Cable, it takes 10-20 seconds. Brian, thanks again for taking the time to listen. Looking forward to view your videos now. - Scott

Hi Scott,
I'll have to invest in/borrow a camcorder or a digital camera that take video clips to honour this request! Not sure when that will be (Christmas perhaps?)... hopefully won't be too long.
In the meantime, will look forward to watching more of yours or others' musical footage.
Take care,
Rich

Scott,
OK. I finally did it. I did them on one take and figured if there were mistakes it only proves it was "live."
Hope you enjoy them. I had to make them small to put them up on the web.

Scott and Brian,
congratulations for your videos! It's really great to see someone perform, instead of just listening to his voice or sound.
In Brian's case it was really nice to be able to associate for the first time a face to a name; I have only a little technical remark: it's a pity that in the two videos shot with the PSR 2000 Brians's face is so dark: the light was much better in the video shot at the piano (a little hint for the next video, maybe? )
Wating for more to come.

Hi Brian
Thanks for the Classical Gas! Pretty good playing! No sheet music. And no style, either.

Dreamer,
I had one of my younger sons film it for me. It was afternoon and the sun was behind me on the PSR2000. He tried filming one from the side but it came out mostly of my back. Might be my better side anyway
It always surprizes me when I imagine how someone looks and then see a picture or meet them in person.
I will think about re-doing them for better quality. I do have better equipment for doing that but it took me 2 years to get to this point of putting something on the web. Perhaps with a little encouragement.
Enjoy,
- Brian

Brian,
the light in the piano video-clip was just perfect: both your face and your hands were perfectly visible so.... it can be done!
