Hi,

My PSR 2000 has an information in the back Bottom "Made in Indonesia".
All PSR 2000 of yours are made in Indonesia?
I'm asking this question because my PSR 2000 has some small risks (scratches) (pratically in all leds holes and Switch On button hole) in the upper silver painted panel.

Regards
Carlos Rodrigues

Yes,
All of the new PSR1000 and PSR2000 keyboards are made in Indonesia. The 740 and 640's were made in Japan. Yamaha has factories all over the world. I'm not at my store to see if there are "scratches" on all the 2000's but my guess would be this is how the mold is made at the factory.

Hi Carlos: Just checked mine very closely (even with a magnifying glass) and don't notice any scratches or defects in the finish in or around the LED holes. hmmmm.
I'm not surprised this keyboard is made in Indonesia though, because I knew there had to be some reason that this 'feature packed' keyboard could be offered at such a low price point.

PS: I'm curious if the glittery silvery colored finish was actually 'painted' on OR if instead, actually part of the plastic itself? I tend to think it's part of the plastic itself, because if it was actually painted on, the silver finish could eventually chip/flake off. - Scott

Hi Carlos: I received your email today with the pictures of your PSR2000, supposedly pointing out the scratches you mentioned above. Unfortunately I could NOT see them. I tried emailing you directly, but for some reason, your email got returned to me as 'undeliverable'. Anyway, I tried enlarging the picture but then the image got distorted. hmmmm. Perhaps you could send another MORE detailed picture and I could have another look, but, like I mentioned before, my keyboard does not exhibit any scratches. - Scott

Hey Carlos, maybe there was a hitchhiking mouse in your box and he wanted to be entertained. I don't see any scratches on my 2000.

Carlos,
No scratches on the PSR2000 on display at my store. Maybe you should bring your's back to where you got it and let them inspect it and if neccessary, replace it.
