I just received a new product from Behringer which is very exciting. It is a 180Watt RMS compact 5 XLR Mic Input powered mixer. It features 5 Channels with either XLR or 1/4" Inputs plus a stereo tape input and output channel and 100 24 bit Effects and a 7 band graphic equalizer with feedback locate light system. The size is approx. 10 Inches wide by 8 inches deep and 2 rack spaces tall. It has optional rack ears and is housed in a rugged molded plastic case. There are 2 1/4" speaker jacks for either one speaker (8 OHM) or 2 speakers (4 OHM) or 1 speakon connector. The power is really amazing for this small size because unlike the PMH1000, 3000 and 5000 which have a digital poweramp, the PMH518M is using an analog power amp which sounds much louder. The amazing thing is that this amp sells for $149.00 and if you couple this with a couple of B212 Behringer speakers at $149.00 each, you have an amazing system, easy to carry around and for a package price of around $450.00. Check these out!

Do you have B212A and B215A?(new powered speakers from behringer) in stock?
If you do can you compare those to Makie 450 and Eon 15G2s?
Their prices looks pretty good -$199 and 249 for 450w powered speakers.

Hi beachbum

Ya, but you need stereo to sound good on the 3K. That Behringer head is mono.

George:
From Behringer's website:
"The PMH518M has speaker outputs on 1/4" jack and professional speaker connectors (compatible to Neutrik® Speakon®)*. Of course, rack mount brackets are included.
Just FYI.
Matbe you can ask them.
Thanks.

Not true, if you use a quality system, like the Bose and you tweak the few sounds that are lackluster in the Yamaha. I modified the grand piano, rhodes and 12 string, and it sounds like a million bucks through the PAS. ( I had mine before the name change ! )

I agree with Uncle Dave. I've got the PSR3000 going into my Yamaha Stage Pas 300 in stereo and then using one of the two powered monitor outputs into one of the inputs on the Behringer and I can't tell the differnce.
The rac ears are included with the mixer in the box. There is no phantom power on the Behringer but the mic pre amps are really clean. If you need Phantom Power you must use a phantom power adapter.

Oh, this topic again

Hi UD, good to hear from you again BTW. yes, I understand that things can be made to sound good throught the Bose PAS, L1 and sub. At $2000 I would certainly hope so I am looking forward to trying one one day soon. Sounds as if it's something I'd like to own if it's as good as it seems everyone is saying.

I tried one speaker on the PSR2000 and Tyros and it totally sucked. It was a powered JBL Eon. It sounded great with 2 JBLS's.

I don't remember if I personally tried it on the PSR3000 but it seems to me everyone was having a fit about it not sounding good through one conventional speaker. Some have said the Tyros 2 sounds ok though one conventional speaker. It seems like one day I accidentally only turned on one speaker with the T2 and it sounded ok except for the Rhodes piano sound that goes back and forth between 2 speakers. I didn't really give it much of a test because, frankly I don't really care. If I'm using the speakers I've got, it is no big effort to carry two 23 pound speakers
