Sunnycool,

You will need to convert the Kar. files to MIDI with Lyrics. A very good program for this is GNMIDI. The registered version allows you to convert a large quantity of files at one time. I found this to be extremely useful. Also as noted in some of the other topics, you can use GNMIDI to write your Karaoke lyrics into the midi file. Here is the web address:
http://www.gnmidi.com/

Hope this helps.

I didn't know that. I have just been renaming the .kar files to .mid and then using them on my PSR2000. Can you play a .kar file on the 2000 as well?

hi

the PSR-2000 reads most kar file as well as mid with lyrics.
the older PSR-740 only read mid with lyrics. as TwoNuts said gnmidi is a good program to convert them. the problem is karaoke file are midi with text events rather then lyrics events.
good singing!!
