I need some info on edirol products.I currently have a sc 8820 and would like to upgrade. My dillema is that I have not heard any of the other modules, and I am trying to decide which of them would be the best buy.I Need to know weather the sc 8850 is a better sounding unit than sd80, and if the sd90 has better sounds than either of these two. Also how does the sd70 stack up against these other units.Any advise would be welcomed. Thanks in advance Terry

Hello Terry,

I'm currently using an Edirol SD-90 here at work as my external sound card/midi mapper. I choose the SD-90 over the 80 based on the type of connectors used. The 90 uses RCA plug-ins which is more compatible with what I do here at work. The 80 uses 1/4 inch plugs, plus it comes with rack mounts. I do believe the sound engines are the same though.

Their web site has some great demos so use the link above that Donny provided.

You can email me with any specific questions if you'd like.
