Hi All,

I finally made up my mind to upgrade from my PSR2100 and Korg PA50 to the Tyros2. One question...how do the Korg converted styles sound on the T2? Better or Worse?

IMHO, they sound better on the Tyros1 or 2 than on the PA50/60/80.

I have both the 3K & PA50. The PA50 is a remarkable keyboard at a low cost (Half price of 3K)
Styles always sound better on the keyboard they were made for. A converted style is always a compromise but some can be acceptable with some tweaking.

You already have two nice keyboards with the benefit of different sounds & styles. To part-ex you are going to get very little meaning you will be paying an arm & a leg for the T2.

I tend to agree with Graham. Unless you have the time to tweak & edit the styles, a raw conversion doesn't usually sound too good.
Conversions are not perfect between the different brands. Just because you're upgrading to a superior keyboard, doesn't mean your old styles will automatically sound better.

I'd even have to tweak my old 9000 pro styles if I want them to sound good in my psr1500.

Bear in mind with all the great styles in the T2, you may not want your old styles anyway.

I've picked up some Korg styles from the internet, converted by others, and find some of them very good (Tyros 2). But then not having heard them on a Korg I don't know whether they are better or worse than the original!
