I have gone through 3 different types of stools now since i started playing keyboards. The latest one is drummer type stool and that is starting to deteriate,it seems to sink after playing about an hour and the annoying squeeks and noises it makes pees me right off.
If I go round to my local music store they can only offer the same cheap rubbish that I have already owned.
I need a decent solid stool that can be adjusted in height so I can play for hours at both the piano and arranger boards.
What do you keyboard players on this forum use and what can you recommend?

I use a folding Yorkville bench.
Comfortable, and easy to transport.
Have a look, go to my photo page:

I use a Tama Motorcycle Seat Drum throne with double braced legs. Tough as nails and very comfortable for my big derrier.

I'm using the Quiklok D-749. It fully adjustable, but it's not light. The backrest and footrest are both wonderful too. Here's the link http://www.quiklok.com/400x400/sku_D_749.jpg

Cheers,

Gary

I'd have to see one to really be convinced. Could someone send me a stool sample?
