Donny:

I finally posted an instrumental played on my T2, no singing here. It's a medley of Shiny Stockins and Until I Met You (aka Corner Pocket).

This is recorded live with no sequencing, mistakes and all. I have not tweaked the file at all.

Go easy guys it tooks some guts to upload this

Steve thanx so much for the demo songs....Classic BB is one of my favorite styles.....sounds like your really fitting in with the T2....nice job..aside from a few timing issues on Corner pocket during the Piano part I would say I really enjoyed your performance & can hear your love for playing within your performance...hope to hear much more from ya in the future as I would with all my GOOD SZ friends..maybe down the road a Steve Molinar CD will be released?

Thanks for sharing

Very nice big band number...great arrangement.

I did find the right hand work overpowered the style in some places, but otherwise this is a fine piece of work.

Thanks guys. Donny yea some timing issues on Corner Pocket....gotta work on those. That Classic BB is a great style and I'm enjoying the T2. Although I loved the 3000 the T2 just is an all round better fit for me.

Eddie and Ian thanks. This was my first try using the hard drive to record. First I recorded the song to a midi file then played back the midi file while using the hard drive to record playback of the midi file. In the past when recording (using the 3000) it went to a midi file, then I burnt the midi file to a free standing Sony CD recording deck. Ian the right hand did over power in places. The 4th OTS on the Classic BB style really comes on at a high volume. I haven't done much in the way of adjusting volumes with variations I just wanna play and use the out of the box settings for the OTS. Seems to me the quality of the recording is a bit better when recording directly to the free standing Sony deck.

Steve, I don't know how I made the mistake ofthinking you were just getting started...good stuff, especially on a new board.

Thanks,

Russ

Russ I probably gave that impression. When I first came on SZ in 2005, I had just started gigging but I have been playing music since in my early teens. Up until December of 2004
I strictly played piano at home for my own enjoyment. Thanks, I appreciate your comments.

Steve out of the box OTS just doesnt cut it on stage as well as out of the box anything regarding the sounds, styles, efx of these arranger KBs.... I'm afraid this is what separates the everyday players from the great ones.....you must do your homework intensley on these KB's every style MUST be hand tweaked including OTS to get the correct vol, instrumentation, & EFX, etc to achieve success its critical to the end result....I have spent weeks just to get one style the way I want but in the end its all worth it.....Yamaha gave you the tools....its up to you to build the house ...if not I thonk you answered the question by your stements on this topic above.... good luck

I've got to echo Donny here about the tweaking side of things. Very nice job, though.

BTW - I laid hands for the first time on a T2 and a used 3k today, albeit very briefly. Got to say I liked both boards (quite a difference in key size and feel, though). I initially went into the store hoping I'd find a Pa800 in there, but no luck on that.
