Hi,

I just got my Tyros 2 yesterday and I am very impressed with the board. Right now I'm trying to figure out the MIDI re-voicing feature. I generated a bunch of MIDI files using the BIAB and now I would like to "re-voice" them. First, I am not sure if my MIDI files are SMF. I am positive, though that I generated them as Type 0 MIDI files (I am not sure if it matters).

I tried to use the Auto Re-voice option but somehow I don't see or hear any changes. My MIDI files use 5 channels (bass, drums, guitar, piano, strings) but on the Tyros 2 Auto Voice screen I can see only four voices and they are all not right (choir, trumpet, organ). It looks like I am doing something wrong. I read the manual but it's not very helpful, at least in my case.

Could you please walk me through this Auto Re-voice predicament? Thanks a lot in advance.

Best regards,

Alex

Thanks a lot for such a quick reply.

I checked the link but it is referring to Tyros 1, not Tyros 2. Since I didn't own Tyros 1 I am not sure if the steps are the same. I'm going to try them today as soon as I get home from work.

Best regards,

Alex
