Hi all, I discovered (by pleasant surprise) Rintincop also lives in the San Francisco Bay area
. He told me he auditioned the Bose PAS firsthand at our local GC store, with the PAS hooked up to a Yamaha Digital Piano (playing a 'stereo sampled' acoustic grand piano voice patch) and experienced the same (but to a lesser extent) phase cancellation problems he had heard when going out mono from Yamaha's stereo sampled keyboard voices to other single (mono) PA powered speakers: JBL, EV, etc.
Rintincop, I was hoping you could elabarate here on your findings. Just 'how much' less phase cancellation degradation goes on thru the Bose PAS compared to other single mono powered PA speakers: JBL Eon, EV SXA100, etc? Is the sound degradation within acceptable pro performance limits? Rintincop, realizing that your primary consideration of the Bose PAS is for playing exposed acoustic (stereo sampled) piano in a small combo setting, do you recommend the Bose PAS? Thanks - Scott
