A few weeks ago I sought advice on a keyboard for apprentice me. Lots of kind people responded and the general view was that a PSR540 was the go. After deciding that the 520 had the best sound quality in its price range I bought one. I'm rapt. Yes, the sound quality is there and its easy to use. Great owner's manual. And I'm getting used to it's appearance. Thankyou once again to all those who assisted in the choice.

Richard,
Did you buy the 540 or the 6 year old 520? I hope this was just a typo!

A short progress report on the PSR540 for any learners like me amongst the pros. It's good. Still like the sound quality. At this time perhaps the best feature is the auto accomp which helps give learner type songs a nice lush harmonising sound. Actually enjoy practicing. Easy to use with plenty of variations and customising features so you can get the sound you like. A nice piece of gear.
