Hi all.
DO NOT buy or sell anything to this guy.

Sanel Rakovic
548 West 29TH St
Erie PA 16508
sanelx@yahoo.com
blusa2@gmail.com

And other email addresses probably.
He will even allow you to call him on the phone and he will convince you that he is above board. But be warned, you will be scammed out of your money, or keyboard.

I banned him from KORG Forums already, but he is still out there, and sadly, I received an email today confirming exactly what I thought he was. He scammed a guy out of the price of a Pa800.

So be careful. He is out there, and watching this forum as well as others.

Regards.
Sharp.

Zuki, I hope everything will turn out alright.

What I don't understand is that, if this guy's done it before, how come the authorities haven't gone after him?

Thanks for your support. He has some time to either send the board or PayPal refund. If not, my brother (lawyer) agreed to work with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office to go after him.

Please just lay low because this could get ugly. I'll keep you posted.

Zuki do you want me to leave this thread up or would you prefer I remove it? It's your call. Whatever you think will help you sort this out.

Nigel,

Let's keep this thread open until I hear something. I don't want anyone else having to deal with this.

If he does respond, I'll pass that info along too. If he does not, I'll ask you to dump the thread on 11/8, because that's when things will heat up.

Thanks for your help,

zuki

I can probably hook you up with others that where dealing with this guy.

Hi Nigel.

Sorry, I feel awful for not sharing this information with you before one of your members got stung. I've been watching this guy for a while now, and I knew what he was up to the second he posted images of gear on eBay swiped from one of our members personal website. Just never crossed my mind to share the information with you as we are strictly a KORG community, and Karma Lab would be the next target after ours for people trying to scam KORG users.

Promise I will include you in future if there is anything I think you should know. You can then weight up the information presented and decide yourself what you would like to do as sometimes we move fast due to extensive history we have on known trolls.

Kind Regards.
James.

Since this is drawing a lot of attention and bad publicity for buying on the internet through forums, ebay or something on that order, I thought it wise to mention a few tips that may be scaring off others from using this mode of buying which is great to get good deals.

I have bought and sold a lot of gear through the internet, from forums and ebay mostly. It is perfectly safe if you do your homework.

If you really examine a persons ad or feedback, this can tell you a lot.

The main thing is is to ask for their phone number, then call them, feel them out, and tell them you have a close relative who lives nearby and if they can inspect it before bidding and pick up the product if you win the auction. End of problem.

The other thing, using a postal money order is a good thing. At the outside chance something goes wrong, it becomes a federal offense and the FBI will find them.

I guess PayPal offers some kind of protection. The last time I checked out their terms, which was a couple years ago, I wasn't that impressed, but it's better than nothing.

Hope this all works out for you zuki.

Scott

OK, no edit feature. I just wanted to add that of course, if they don't respond to your email for their phone number. Don't give them any money.
