Does anyone know if the wk2 oriental floppy drive can be replaced with a regular floppy...or does it have to be from GEM made for the wk2? Either way, how much does it cost? I contacted GEM long time ago, but they were not too helpful.
I am selling my WK2 and need to fix this problem asap.

When I had you on hold I was calling my repair shop in LA to ask them about the floppy drives. I was told that different batches of keyboards work with different floppies and that they would have to see your keyboard to determine which floppy drives would work. I explained to them that you were in Atlanta and this wouldn't be too practical! I guess we will have to find out from Generalmusic in Chicago. George Kaye kaye's Music Scene Reseda, California

Hi, I have changed about 4 floppy drives on WK4 and they are the same as you use on a normal PC so If I where you I'll go for that and replace it yourself, it's very easy to replace. But before you buy 1 I suggest that you open the keyboard and take it with you when buying a new one, because there are some Floppy disks that the connecting port is on the other side and so the connecting cable won't reach that far. If that is the case and can't find one like it, you have to buy a longer cable.
