All went very well...I set up all my custom song book entries which retain ALL setup information in any order you like & just went for it after only having the KB 2 days at a big High School Reunion gig...
the Pa800 didn't disappoint me! Great sound thru my Mackie Pa system ....real nice usable styles that work well in all genres.....I'm learning as I go along that's the best way to do it as my Uncle Dave always said .... The loud on-board in your face speakers are the best I ever heard on a portable arranger which work as excellent monitors was a pleasant experience also. Navigating the pa800 was a snap it is very well laid out. The cherry on the cake was using the TC Helicon Vocal Harmonizer all I can say is WOW!!!! More to follow........

Thanks everyone for the help so far.

Good news. Must have been a blast enjoying something new and fresh and having it go well too

I bet the younger sounds/rock, etc sound terrific.

Ian......
so far so good we'll see what tonight's gig produces.....amazingly so far with about 90 song setups Ive only had to load in ONE converted style. The Pa800 really has some great factory styles that fit many of my songs.....now its a matter of doing little tweaks & edits as I go along.

More to come......

DNJ:

I am happy you like the PA800...

One advise as a PA800 user, do yourself a favor, in a USB FLash drive, make a backup to enable you to "Restore" everything you make and update it every week or so, I am not just talking about the "Save" ALL...feature, go to Utilities and make the Backup too.

This way, in case that someone gives you a SECOND PA800, all you have to do to clone it in matter of seconds, is to "restore" it and that is it.
I find this feature very usefull, in my T2, does not have a feature that WORKS this way, it does have a Backup file, but it does not do what the PA800 does.
I had my PA800 since last November, and I went along with the 2 Updates in OS, I really like my PA 800.
Please, pass along this unsolicited advise to UD too.
Both of you be happy you did.

DNJ,

Congrats on the PA800. I've been interested in this board myself.

I know there is a five function foot pedal available; are you using one? Also, if so, do you know if more than one can be used? I would need more than five switches.

Good Luck
Don P.

To Donpatt:

The PA 800 has one out for the EC5, and also has 2 more, I use those to control Volume ( Master) and the other Sustain, I have but not in use yet, the EC5.
Of course, ALL of those functions are assignable for the EX5 and the other 2 port switches.

Donny: Congrats on your 1st gig success with the PA800.

Manuel: I'm really looking forward now to take you up on your invitation to fly down to visit you in Phoenix & see you perform on your T2 and PA800, and now your latest acquisition (a vintage Hammond X66 Organ). Wow !
