Did anyone else out there catch Austin City Limits the other night. These guys have still got it. Great vocals, great music, great keyboard work. Keyboardist was using a synth which I couldn't see very well, I believe it might have been an Oberheim?? Anyhoo..great show.
No, but I caught Robert Plant on ACL last Saturday and caught a talented keyboard guy with an arsenal of vintage keys - Wurlitzer piano, Minimoog, etc. Good stuff.

I didn't see the show but given the time that they made their name, if it was a very thick and fat sounding synth then I'd put my money on it being an Oberheim as well. Oberheim pretty much took analog synthesis to the edge providing a huge creamy synth texture to many hit songs in the 80s.

I saw them in the 70's in Syracuse. Nice concert. I then went out and bought 2 of their music books to play their songs. Very popular at the time. One of my favorite concerts.
